Executive Summary for the Learning contract
Learning contract is an important part of the project with its uses as a checklist of work to be completed and end deliverables, the basis for evaluation of whether expected outcomes have been achieved, milestones for competition of the works. In view of this, several versions have been drafted, ensuring that all items of work are underscored and the wording used is precise and accurate. There are re are six parts in the contract, “learning objectives”, “learning strategies”, “Evidence and outcomes”, “Assessment criteria”, “Completion data”, and “Contribute to the following End Deliverables”.
The final learning contract is composed of 6 categories of items denoted by number 1 to 6.
Number 1 means the items are about the background research of the housing crisis in Hong Kong, the objectives includes “To generally understand the housing crisis in Hong Kong”, “To understand issues in details related to the narrowed research area: “Inefficient use of public housing”” and “To understand various solutions in tackling the Inefficient use of public housing”.
Number 2 means the items are regarding our group proposed solution includes “To develop the proposed solution:
“The sixth generation”, “To investigate the feasibility of the proposed solution: “The sixth generation” and “To investigate the pros and cons of the proposed solution: “The sixth generation”
Number 3 represents the production of digital media with the objective “To learn the skills for producing digital media”
Number 4 represents the project programme with the objective “To learn project programming”
Number 5 represents the peer assessment with the objective “To learn to conduct an effective peer assessment”
Number 6 represents the learning contract with the objective “To learn how to draft, develop and enforce a learning contract”
The learning contract has been effectively used for checking the project execution in terms of outcomes and time and we have successfully complied to it.
